A lovely lakeside location with over 200 anxiety of shoreline and a excellent shaded orchard (full of pecan trees, in case you'd not already guessed…) If you think that sounds but idyllic, have a peek at the aptly-named Pecan Grove RV Park, 5 minutes' drive from the equally aptly-named Arkansas town of Lake Village.
The lake in question (for both town and RV park) is Lake Chicot, North America's largest oxbow lake (that's a U-shaped 1 that's been cut off from a river for those whose memory of school geography terms is somewhat hazy). It's a fab destination for folks who similar to fish – the waters of the 20-mile lake teem with bluegill, bass and catfish, and it'south equally easy as could be to get at them from the park's individual 300-foot pier or by taking your boat to the launch area.
If you've had a successful day on the lake you lot can prep your grab at the cleaning station; if it wasn't your lucky day yous're only a few minutes' drive from restaurants or supermarkets for picking up supplies to cook out on the barbecue. A shared fire band is on hand if you'd rather just gather for fireside drinks and gossip.
